Ancient Copies of the Quran Stolen from Jabal Noor-ul-Quran in Quetta

Quetta: A shocking incident has occurred at Jabal Noor-ul-Quran, located west of Quetta in the Koh-e-Chiltan area, where ancient copies of the Quran and sacred pages have been stolen.

According to Ajmal Khan, the in-charge of Jabal Noor-ul-Quran, approximately 150 rare Quranic manuscripts and pages were stolen after their protective glass cases were shattered. These valuable artifacts were displayed inside tunnels carved into the mountain.

A case has been registered at the Brewery Police Station against unidentified culprits, but no arrests have been made so far.

Jabal Noor-ul-Quran, established in 1992, is a unique site where tunnels have been carved into the mountain to preserve ancient Quranic manuscripts and damaged or sacred pages. It is home to millions of Quranic pages.

This theft has sparked concern among the local community, as the site is regarded as a significant center for preserving Islamic heritage.
